My Lieblingsgetränke. My Tante Heidi introduced me to these when I lived with her and Onkel Ernst while working for IBM. Often, Heidi and I would finish a bottle of champagne together, then I would carefully walk down the two flights of winding stairs to my room on the ground floor.

Directions

In each champagne flute, fill one-third with creme de cassis. Top with sparkling wine.

One bottle of sparkling wine will make six to eight kir royale.

Substitue white wine for the sparking wine for a kir.
