Heidi and I would finish a bottle of champagne together, then I would carefully walk down the two flights of winding stairs
to my room on the ground floor.
Ingredients
One bottle of sparkling wine
Creme de cassis
Champagne flutes, the more narrow the better
Directions
In each champagne flute, fill one-third with creme de cassis. Top with sparkling wine.
One bottle of sparkling wine will make six to eight kir royale.
Substitue white wine for the sparking wine for a kir.
