Mojito
This is the first cocktail my friend Tobi learned to make, and also the reason one of my spoons looks like it got caught in a blender. It is a tasty and refreshing cocktail! Try adding and substituting other herbs, like Thai basil.
- 1/2 lime, rinsed and cut into wedges
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 8 to 10 fresh mint leaves, rinsed
- 2 ounces light rum
- crushed ice (the blender is the tool for this)
Muddle the lime wedges, sugar and mint leaves in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add a few ice cubes and the rum, and shake.
Pour into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice.
