Stiletto

After sending out a call on Twitter for some ideas of what to do with all our bourbon, because Manhattans are so Advent 2015, our college friend and cocktail aficionado Jack suggested the stilletto. Jack has hosted some delightful cocktail parties and was long the only other person who could make a negroni, so I trusted his judgement and shook up a couple. This recipe is based on one from the Intoxicologist.

  • 2-1/2 ounces Bourbon Whiskey
  • 1/2 to 3/4 ounce Amaretto Liqueur (less if you like bourbon, more if you don't)
  • 1/4 ounce Lime Juice

Shake well with ice and pour into a cocktail glass. We do find this cocktail is strong enough to benefit from being on the rocks.
