Ingredients
Four Servings
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- One of the following:
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. mace or nutmeg
- 1 tsp. instant espresso
- 1/4 c. espresso
One Serving
- 1 c. milk
- 1 heaping measuring tablespoon sugar
- 1 level measuring tablespoon cocoa
- One of the following:
- drop vanilla
- dash cinnamon
- dash mace or nutmeg
Directions
In saucepan, combine sugar and cocoa. Add a few tablespoons of milk and
heat over medium high heat, stirring constantly. The heat will make it
easier to dissolve the cocoa.
When the sugar, cocoa and milk have formed a paste, add the remainder
of the milk and heat until steaming. Pour into mugs and serve.
